PLUM CREEK FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANT

Mississippi Food Network will be covering more miles this year as our efforts to serve our neighbors got a needed boost with a grant from the Plum Creek Foundation. The funds from this grant will help fund the cost of a driver to add a new rural route for delivering and picking up food. The Plum Creek Foundation believes in supporting communities where they live and work and are excited to help put food on the tables of our neighbors who are in need."

Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the Pepsi Challenge during the month of July.  Unfortunately, we were not one of the top 10, but we may try again at a later date. We appreciate your support.

A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING

We all have those people in our lives - the ones who don’t need anything - because they already have everything. So, we are left with the question of "What do I get them for their birthday, anniversary, or that special occasion?" Well, let us help you - make a Tribute gift to the Mississippi Food Network in honor of that special person. When you send us a Tribute gift to honor someone, we will notify them they have been honored with a gift to the Mississippi Food Network. Additionally, a Memorial gift is a way to celebrate a loved one’s life. Many families and friends feel that a Memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor one’s memory. The families will receive a letter acknowledging your gift made in memory of their loved one. For more information, please contact Marilyn Blackledge at 601-973-7086.

WANT TO HELP DO SOMETHING ABOUT HUNGER IN YOUR COMMUNITY

We are looking for non-profit organizations and/or churches to open new member agencies to help us feed hungry people in our State. There are several counties in our service area that are underserved because there is not a member agency or there are not enough agencies to serve everyone.

If you know of an organization and/or church that would be interested in becoming a member agency of the Mississippi Food Network they can contact Desiree Dillon, Director of Agency Relations at 601-973-7085 or ddillon@msfoodnet.org for more information.

For more information download the Agency Relations Brochure.

Mississippi Food Network is a 501c3 non-profit organization.  Your donations are tax-deductible.

For more information contact Marilyn Blackledge, Director of Development, at 601-973-7086 or mblackledge@msfoodnet.org.
