US 96.3 "STUFFS THE BUS" TO HELP PROVIDE HOLIDAY FOOD

US 96.3 raised 4,500 pounds of food before Thanksgiving with their "Stuff The Bus" promotion. Each day from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. during the week of November 16 - 20, their DJ’s were at area Wal-Mart and Kroger stores to collect turkeys and other items that would help fill holiday boxes for needy families. FOOD DRIVES

Food Drives are an important part of the operations of Mississippi Food Network. The food collected is often different from what we normally have in the warehouse and is a nice added benefit to our member agencies. The agencies who pick up in Jackson are able to "shop" in the self-serve area. For the agencies who use the rural truck delivery system, volunteers sort and pack boxes for them to order. Our thanks to all the groups who have hosted food drives during 2009.  Click on More to see pictures of some of the groups who have helped us this year.  MORE>>>>>

A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING

We all have those people in our lives - the ones who don’t need anything - because they already have everything. So, we are left with the question of "What do I get them for their birthday, anniversary, or that special occasion?" Well, let us help you - make a Tribute gift to the Mississippi Food Network in honor of that special person. When you send us a Tribute gift to honor someone, we will notify them they have been honored with a gift to the Mississippi Food Network. Additionally, a Memorial gift is a way to celebrate a loved one’s life. Many families and friends feel that a Memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor one’s memory. The families will receive a letter acknowledging your gift made in memory of their loved one. For more information, please contact Marilyn Blackledge at 601-973-7086.

Mississippi Food Network is a 501c3 non-profit organization.  Your donations are tax-deductible.

For more information contact Marilyn Blackledge, Director of Development, at 601-973-7086 or mblackledge@msfoodnet.org.
