MORE>>>>> US 96.3 "STUFFS THE BUS" TO HELP PROVIDE HOLIDAY FOOD US 96.3 raised 4,500 pounds of food before Thanksgiving with their "Stuff The Bus" promotion. Each day from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. during the week of November 16 - 20, their DJ’s were at area Wal-Mart and Kroger stores to collect turkeys and other items that would help fill holiday boxes for needy families. MORE>>>>> FOOD DRIVES Food Drives are an important part of the operations of Mississippi Food Network. The food collected is often different from what we normally have in the warehouse and is a nice added benefit to our member agencies. The agencies who pick up in Jackson are able to "shop" in the self-serve area. For the agencies who use the rural truck delivery system, volunteers sort and pack boxes for them to order. Our thanks to all the groups who have hosted food drives during 2009. Click on More to see pictures of some of the groups who have helped us this year. MORE>>>>> |
