Get Involved

There are a number of ways that individuals, churches, organizations, and corporations can partner with Mississippi Food Network to help in our fight against hunger.

Mississippi Food Network could not do its job well without the help of volunteers. If it weren’t for such friends, tackling hunger in our state would be a more daunting task. But because of volunteers, we’re able to get more done, at less cost. Learn how you, your group, or your organization can volunteer by contacting Stacey Cain at or 601-973-7089. We also have Volunteer Saturdays on the second Saturday of each month, 9 a.m.-noon. Upcoming 2015 dates include:

  • November 14, 2015
  • December 12, 2015
  • January 9, 2016

* Please review our new volunteer policy effective February 3, 2015*

Please wear appropriate clothing for a warehouse setting with limited heat in the winter and no air conditioning in the summer. Please wear closed-toe shoes, and we suggest layering your clothes, especially during the cold months.

Every $1 donated provides seven meals to hungry Mississippians, and 97 cents of every dollar goes to our programs. Please consider not just a one-time donation, but signing up for our monthly giving program.

Give Now

If you’d rather donate food, MFN always needs such non-perishables as canned meat, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned soups and peanut butter. If your organization would like to hold a food drive, please contact Stacey Cain at or 601-973-7089. Other ways to give:

  • Shop at Kroger. When shopping at Kroger in Hinds, Madison, or Rankin counties, make a donation to MFN via a scan card found at all registers.
  • Shop Amazon Smile. It’s just like “regular” shopping at, but .05 percent of your purchase can be designated for MFN.

Corporate Opportunities

Mississippi Food Network welcomes donations of food and personal care items from groceries, food manufacturers, food brokers and other related businesses. If you are interested in making a corporate donation, please call Walker Satterwhite at or 601-973-7080, or Mack Matthews at or 601-353-7215.
